Cleaning Makes a Mess…

I left work early today to do some house cleaning.  As I began the chore I found myself deep in a project that if I started I would have to complete because leaving them half finished would be far worse than not starting them at all.  I quickly found myself overwhelmed and decided to escape for a bit with a short nap.

Three hours later I awoke to a winter advisory on my iPhone.  Seems simply getting cold enough is justification for an alert in this town.  The real fun isn’t even supposed to start until 3am and yet they’re already giving us warnings about a 51% chance of a light wintry mix.  What the crap is a wintry anyway? Is that anything like a trail mix with minty candies or something?

Either way, I have some shopping to do so I’m heading out.  Since I also took tomorrow off tonight will be a night full of house-cleaning, drinking, writing, and just enjoying myself.

For some odd reason, there is something more satisfying about being OFF from work knowing the rest of the world is going about its regular business.
