I promised Groundhog I would work on his computer. So, late in the afternoon I headed over to his place to begin the grueling chore of backing up everything on his system and doing a full clean install of Windows and putting everything back on (well, save for some programs which he can do himself.) His wife is one of the greatest cooks I know and she prepared an awesome dinner of fish and veggies (I think the fish was called Tilapia or something). We ate and hung out rather late shooting the shit, listening to music, and watching TV while the system did it’s reinstall thing.
I came home early this morning to discover my router had locked up and required a reboot. Since that was somewhat uncommon I poked around with things for a while just to make sure everything was okay then I did a few things around the house before finally headed off to bed around 8am.
I woke around noon to be reminded by a text message that I was supposed to be at a Union Meeting at 2:00pm. As much as I really would have liked to just laid around and done nothing I decided I really needed to be there. I know it wasn’t a complete waste of time showing up, but it really does feel that way (at the moment).
I returned home and prepared for AlericB to come over. He brought his sister’s computer over so we could perform some resurrection ritual on it (power supply). I ordered a cheese and veggie pizza and we bullshitted and tinkered with the computer. He took the system and left and now I’m ending the evening by sitting here and writing entry number 20 into Blog 365.
So, uhm, yeah. That was my weekend.
