This one is vintage Fuse! from the mid 90’s. It was a very surreal era in the Artwork of Fuse! and this one started as just a scribble with some colored pencils but it quickly consumed the entire page. I thought it would stop there but it bled off of the page’s edge and started to consume the room. Fleeing for my life, I barely made it out of the house before it collapsed inward and began to suck everything into a singularity.
I caught a ride on a passing by Flying-Sausage and managed to escape just in time to witness the entire neighborhood being warped and slurped up like a spaghetti noodle into a Hoover. I was taken up out of the atmosphere and into what I felt must surely be a safe distance but I was soon to realize that the great sucking powers of this picture were far greater than even the most massive of black holes.
Against my will, my sausage and I were sucked into this blackness. For the next several years I struggled against the intense gravity of this great sucking force. It would tease me with temporary ripples of calmness and in doing so ease its grip. Just as I felt I would be able to escape it would reiterate it’s demands of submission by turning up the suck. Eventually she died and got married (or something) and I was finally free at last.
These days when I look at this drawing it reminds me of the dangers of letting myself get sucked into something like a wood chipper. ‘Cuz that would suck.
In goes a person — out goes potted meat.
So, uhm, yeah. I rejected the original name of this image. Cosmic Cumshot is funny but highly inappropriate.
